TPC Boston Results

The 2017 New England Series is officially off and running as 70 golfers hit the course at TPC Boston on Marathon Monday. Playing from a challenging 6,300 yards, and through increasingly strong winds as the day wore on, the home of the Dell Technologies Championship proved to be a tough test for the entire field. Dan Dunnigan was our overall Men's Champion, as he used birdies on holes 7, 11, & 13 on his way to shooting a 3-over 76.

Rich Manning was close behind after his eagle on 14 propelled him to a 4-over 77, and David Holmes rounded out the top 3 with a 6-over 79. Our Senior Men's Division also had a strong showing as David Holmes (79), David Knipe (85), and Neil Coutu (85) led the way with their rounds. Donna DiIeso was our Ladies Champ, as she turned in a 95 to close out her day. A big thank you goes to TPC Boston and their entire staff for extending the invite to our New England Series once again this year, and we look forward to being back on site for years to come.

Holmes Takes Home Pocasset

Pocasset Results

Thirty-two New England Series members made the long haul down to Pocasset Golf Club on Monday to take on the 6,200 yard, par 72 Donald Ross gem located in Bourne, Massachusetts. What started out as a beautiful sunny spring morning, quickly saw the cloud-cover roll in, and the temperature drop, leaving the field having having to fight through the cold conditions. The weather, however, did not affect David Holmes, as he fired a 2-under 70, leading the way in the Men's Overall competition. With birdies on 9, 11, 13, 15 & 16, Holmes used his hot stretch of play to climb his way up the leaderboard. In scoring, Holmes mentioned that he was hitting the ball really well all day, and went on a run that felt like he "couldn't miss.'

Sally DeGan also turned in an impressive round with her 4-over par 76 on her way to winning the Men's Overall Net competition for the day. Tim Flynn found himself playing well at Pocasset as well, shooting 81 (+9) to take home the top spot in the Senior Men's Overall competition.  We would like to thank Pocasset Golf Club for their hard work as well as their willingness to have the New England Series back on the map in 2017. Our next New England Series event is Monday, May 1st @ Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA.
